Erasmus + Project “Leaders in Action” – The German Dual System of Vocational Training
Five representatives from school associations and from the municipality of Comunidade do Ave http://www.cim-ave.pt/ from the north of Portugal have successfully completed a 5-day training course on the German Dual System. Thanks to visits to training companies, vocational schools and the IHK, all participants were able to gain a good overview of the system.
The participants returned to Portugal with many ideas and have decided to import some elements of “Best Practices”. For example, the establishment of regular information events on vocational training at secondary schools in order to inform pupils early on about the possibilities in this area. Another suggestion is the close involvement of internships in the design of the curricula of vocational schools.
The first cornerstone for a stronger cooperation between GEB and Comunidade do Ave has been laid and hopefully we will soon report on this “Transfer of Best Practices”.
Fünf Vertreter und Vertreterinnen von Schulverbänden und von der Stadtverwaltung Comunidade do Ave http://www.cim-ave.pt/ aus dem Norden Portugals haben eine 5-tägige Fortbildung über das deutsche Dual System erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Dank der Besuche bei Ausbildungsbetrieben, Oberstufenzentren und bei der IHK konnten alle Teilnehmenden einen guten Überblick das Systems gewinnen.
Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer kehrten mit vielen Ideen nach Portugal zurück und haben sich vorgenommen, einige Elemente von „Best Practices“ zu importieren. So zum Beispiel die Einrichtung von regelmäßigen Info-Veranstaltungen zur beruflichen Bildung an Mittelschulen, um Schülerinnen und Schüler schon frühzeitig über die Möglichkeiten in diesem Bereich zu informieren. Eine andere Anregung ist die enge Einbeziehung von Praktikumsbetrieben in die Ausgestaltung der Curricula an Berufsschulen.
Der erste Grundstein für eine stärkere Kooperation zwischen GEB und Comunidade do Ave wurde gelegt und hoffentlich berichten wir bald von diesem „Transfer of Best Practices“.
