Pro Move II – Scholarships for Graduates

October 2018 to September 2022

Most trainees only go abroad for a relatively short period of time for a work placement, although this would be possible for up to 12 months. The reason for this is, of course, that the trainees may not be absent for a long time either in the training company or in the vocational school.

Therefore, the Erasmus + program since 2014 offers the possibility to go abroad within the first 18 months after completing a vocational training for three to 12 months for a work experience / work experience and to receive the same support! Either the fellows organize the stay themselves or they use our partner organizations to support them.

Many companies use pro-move scholarships to give their (former) apprentices the opportunity to have a longer experience abroad before being hired as skilled workers on their own. The foreign experience can also be carried out in companies of the own corporate group. Possible income abroad is not counted as long as the character of a learning stay with clear learning and target agreement remains recognizable.

The following services are covered by the scholarship and the contribution:

  • Preparatory seminar (one-day) in Berlin (travel and subsistence expenses will be borne by the participants)
  • Online language course for more than 4 weeks abroad
  • Flat rate for travel expenses
  • Local public transport costs (if necessary)
  • Accommodation in shared apartment or host family
  • Help finding a suitable internship
  • Care and tutoring throughout the stay
  • 24/7 emergency phone number

Here you will find the list of own contributions. For the project Pro-Move the numbers from 13 to 26 weeks are relevant. The contributions for longer stays abroad please contact us.

What do you have to do to apply?

  1. Create a Europass CV in English or in the language of the country of destination. The form for the Europass CV can be found under “Downloads”
  2. Write a letter in English or the language of the country of destination stating why you want to participate in the program

The application is sent by mail to the contact persons listed below.

The criteria for the selection for a scholarship are the own motivation and above all the relevance of the stay abroad for your education. Language skills in the language of the destination country are desirable, but in Poland, Portugal and the Netherlands, the internship may partly be conducted in German or English.

How is this continuing?

If you are selected for a scholarship, we invite you to

  • attend a seminar to prepare for the stay abroad (mostly in Berlin) and
  • to conclude an Erasmus + Subsidy Contract

Important information about health insurance:

It is important that you strive for the period abroad for a comprehensive health insurance. We take out additional insurance for you, which protects you against risks in the workplace (for example, if you cause great harm) and which also includes travel health insurance. You need to clarify with your health insurance company on your own whether you consider this insurance comprehensive enough or whether you may need to take out further insurance. The health insurance has the duty to ensure that you – as long as you are registered in Germany – have comprehensive insurance cover. This must be clarified exclusively between you and the health insurance. We have nothing to do with it and we can not support you.
