The internship in Derry, Northern Ireland, is a mixture of work and holiday feeling, rich in experiences and very varied.
The work in the primary school differs very much from the German school system and you need a while to get used to it.
You look in vain for table rows in the classrooms, as the children attend the lessons sitting on the carpet floor. And of course all the children wear uniforms, as we know it from Great Britain. We don’t even have to metion the differenes that exist regarding the age grades, it is enough to say that 4-year-olds are already learning to write.
In addition to the internship, there is also plenty of time to get to know the city, the country and the people.
