Youth Formation
Sponsored youth formation projects are usually realized in the frame of the EU-Program „Youth in Action“ or on the national level by the German Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
A) Youth exchanges:
Youngsters from different countries meet for a certain period of time (usually between 10 and 14 days) at one place to work out a topic togeher, to exchange experiences and to abolish mutual prejudices. The aim of these projects is to give the youngsters space and time to get to know people and cultures from foreign countries.
B) European Voluntary Service:
Youngsters and young adults are given the possibility to stay in a country that participates in on of the „Youth in Action“ programmes. The stay abroad usually lasts between 6 and 12 months and is meant to carry out a non-profit (voluntary) service. Besides the member states of the European Union also the following countries participate in this programme:
Argentina, Chile, Russia, White Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Greece and China.

Die GEB organisiert im Juni 2012 eine Jugendbegegnung in Istanbul mit Teilnehmern aus Israel, Deutschland und der Türkei.
