Practical workplacement and linguistic preparation to develop intercultural and professional competences across Europe!
After the huge success of last years "Train to Europe" we have decided to relaunch the project for 2011/2012:
The project:
The offer is aimed at trainees who wish to enhance their professional skills through an internship in another European country. The trainees have the opportunity to collect experience in renowned companies across Europe.
The project consists in an intensive language training and work experience in cooperation with partner organizations and businesses across Europe in order to offer to the participants international skills and career opportunities that open up to better job opportunities within the international labour market.
The support and coordinating body is the GEB. All hosting organizations have a long-standing cooperation in the implementation of mobility projects.
Who can apply?
Trainees in the German dual education system.
What is covered?
The Leonardo da Vinci Mobility Programme offers:
- Organizational and intercultural preparation in Germany.
- Two-days preparatory seminar in Berlin, including hotel and breakfast for non residents in Berlin
- Round-trip by plane or by train , covered by the Gesellschaft für Europabildung.
- Insurance (liability, accident and health insurance)
- Local transport (if needed)
- Language course and cultural program
- Internship placement and local support
- Accommodation with host families or in a shared house

What are the costs?
The Leonardo da Vinci scholarship covers about 70% of the cost and about 30% are to be taken in charge by the participants.

Documents to provide for application
- A Europass-CV written in English. The form can be found here
- A motivation letter written in English in which you explain why you want to participate in the program
The criteria for selection for a scholarship are your own motivation and, above all, the relevance of the stay abroad for your education. Language skills in the language of the target country are strongly recommended.
And then?
If you are selected for a scholarship, we invite you to
- take part into a weekend of preparatory seminar in Berlin
- sign a Leonardo da Vinci contract with GEB
