Homo Faber II (13 weeks): Assistance with the entrance into the working life by foreign practical courses in Europe

Gesellschaft für Europabildung, in collaboration with the Competence Center for International Relations of the Friedrich-List School, will send 50 students to Wroclav (Poland), Lyon (Frances), Belfast (North Ireland), Barcelona (Spain) and Neapel (Italy). Handwork students from different vocational schools in Berlin will have the opportunity of taking part in a programme formed by a language course (three weeks) and a training period in companies of their before mentioned countries.
The project is especially addressed to those graduates who, after their studies, have not yet found a job in their works sector. The statistics of unemployment in Berlin and Branderburg are quite bigger in compared to other German regions. The labour experience abroad could open new perspectives and possibilities to the young graduates. Even thought, the graduates or students who have already found a job are also allowed to take part in the project: the experience will improve their Curriculum Vitae and their possibilities of finding a new labour way.
Some of the main objectives, like in the case of the project Homo Faber II (4weeks) , include:
- Improving education quality standards towards a deeper orientation re the demands of the European labour market.
- Increasing the competences of young workers and jobseekers from the technical professions in Berlin and Brandenburg.
- Raising the competence of trainers and occupational counsellors in their endeavours to prepare their students and pupils for entering the international labour market.
- Evaluating the project in reference to the possibilities of transformation through employment policies in an international context.
- Together with the partners we will do our utmost to promote European collaboration, agree to the dissemination and transfer of results during the forthcoming period of mutual co-operation and following the “Partnership Quality Commitment” requirements.
Definitely, we will do our best to ensure the excellent quality of the project. The partners (International Coined, Crescent School, A.C.I.I.E.F., Semper Avanti and Inter Échanges ) also investigate for further joint activities and projects within the actions of the LEONARDO DA VINCI programme as well as other possible Community initiatives of common interest.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in participating in the project.
