Training period for ten students from Kielce in the field of gastronomy and catering

The project was the result of the collaboration between Gesellschaft für Europabildung and its Polish partner
Zakłady Doskonalenia Zawodowego, a vocational education centre placed in the city of Kielce.

Ten scholars of the centre, who are studying for technicians of catering and gastronomy, carried out a training time between the 5th and the 30th November of 2007. The main objective of this training period was the improvement of their abilities and working competences.

The participants knew the methods of German education system in the field of gastronomy and catering. Besides, the Polish knew which labour situation in their field in Germany is.

Labour visits For that, the scholars visited the OSZ Ernährung und Lebensmitteltechnik, the Hotel Akademie in Berlin, as well as others private schools and educative centres of the German metropolis. Furthermore, the scholars had the possibility of improving their knowledge of German and foreign languages competences.

During the last years the economy branch of catering trade and gastronomy in the Polish region of Świętokrzyski has reinforced itself. That lets predict that it will be an important resort in the future Europe. That is way this Polish region needs high qualified professionals in this field.

All the scholars received the Europass Mobility, the official certificate of their training time in Berlin.
