Vocational training for students of hairdressing from Poland

12 polish students came to Berlin to carry out a cultural and labour experience

GEB received in November 13 Polish students and workers from the region of Kielce in the framework of the

Programme Leonardo Da Vinci of the European Commission. During their stay in Berlin, they completed a cultural and labour programme during four weeks.

The first week of their visit was dedicated an exhaustive cultural programme to know the city of Berlin and the some different sides of the vocational education system in Berlin and Brandeburg. In this way, for example, the Polish trainees had the possibility of exchanging experiences wit German students who also are styding hairdraissind in Berlin in the Education center SOS Kinderdorf.

Some of the activities of this programme were a tour trough the city, visit to different education centres of Berlin or educative exchanges with other German students and young workers. The scholars dedicate the rest of the time to carry out a training time in companies. This exprience let them to improve their abilities in their labour field so as their competences in the German language.
