Internship and Vocational Training Program for unemployed people from Flanders/ Belgium

The Belgian organisation  VDAB sent to Berlin six workers which carried out a working training period in different German companies through the European formative Programme Leonardo Da Vinci. In this case, the participants in the training period were workers in the search for a job.

The training period lasted a period of 10 weeks. During this time, the participants in the programme had the opportunity of:

- Improving their knowledge of the German language.

- Taking a look in the German working reality and the culture and organisations of its companies.

- Gaining working experience in Germany to orient themselves inside the working market.

The participants were absolutely convinced that this working experience abroad is an essential

part of their professional training. Besides, at the end of the practice time the workers received the Europass-Certificate, which describes the competences gained during the training period and certifies them.
